Educational Bursaries
We support a large number of children but, unfortunately have to turn new kids away every day.
The time it takes to assess the status of a child or to assist them in registering with government in order to qualify for EFA funding is considerable. Home visits, verification of the child's relatives (or lack of) and the parents health status are all undertaken in order to assess the validity and level of need of the child.
Children with very sickly parents are often in a very difficult circumstance as government aid is not available, the parents are unable to work and the resources (financial and physical) of the family are directed at trying to improve the heath and wellbeing of the ill parent(s). The children we assist who are not registered with government as orphans are children still very much in need. If you would like to sponsor a child we will gladly keep you informed of the child's academic and social progress as well as, if you would like, photos, letters and direct dialogue with the kids.
Pre School - E800 (USD$115)
This includes food, clothing twice a year, Christmas party & building maintenance contribution.
Primary School - E1400 (USD$200)
This includes school fees, uniform & shoes, stationery & books.
High School - E5450 (USD$780)
This includes school fees, uniform, shoes & text books.
