There
are many different levels of need. The obvious, food, clothing and shelter are
required for survival. But there is more. What about encouraging imagination -
the crucial ability to visualize and see yourself out of a current situation in order to rise above apathy. What about play time? What about love?
Moya Centre is a transparent
and accountable organization. Our books are audited by Kobla Quashie and Associates
and are available at any time for the public to peruse.
All donations for
children are implemented with the blessings of the local community leadership.
We honour any stated preference
as to where a donation should be directed. If a general donation is made, we use
that donation based on what we consider to be a priority.

Transport |
A lot of children live many hours walk from school. In very extreme cases we try to provide bus fare for the children who are needed at home to help with household duties and allow them time to spend those precious hours studying instead of walking.

We have built a two roomed structure for this young family of 5, aged 4 – 19 years. Their surviving parent died in April 2008 and life has been a struggle ever since. The young family now live in a secure house and community where the traditional leaders have partnered with Moya Centre in caring for them. They are dependent on us and the community for food. We would like to help them get on their feet and become self-sufficient. More details...
