Public Health Care Clinic

What we do

We facilitate workshops focusing on HIV/AIDS, invite other NGOs to teach Home Based Care, and ask nurses from the Ministry of Health to share their knowledge on common medical problems, i.e: Tuberculosis, Sugar Diabetes, and the importance of good nutrition & diet to enhance the immune system.

Oranges are Good!

We have a long standing relationship with the Salvation Army based in Mbabane. They have a particularly strong counselling and medical section. This is where we refer our patients in need of treatment that is beyond our abilities.

We take care of the health of our OVC children who either attend pre school or sponsored children who attend our afternoon library sessions.

There is limited access to ARVs for those who are living positively, due to shortage of drugs and costs of transportation from rural areas to administering hospitals.

Those who qualify for ARVs have full blown Aids. It has been established that those who are positive but do not qualify can extend their lives by 50% through good nutrition, and the use of vitamins and supplements.

We see approximately 35 clients, per month, as we open only 2 mornings per week.

Recently we had a visit from a UK based homeopath who donated 3 homeopathic first aid kits, flower remedy cards and some bach flower remedies.  These have already been of enormous assistance.  We find that particularly with traumatised children, the flower cards are of paramount importance in identifying the problem and the remedies gently assist with bringing the child back to balance.

We are currently reaching the end of our donated supply of vitamins and supplements and would like to encourage anyone who could assist us so that we are able to reach more clients.
